There is a hole in our TV-For-Grownups viewing calendar, now that Edie Falco and Toni Collete and their delightful shows NURSE JACKIE and THE UNITED STATES OF TARA have ended their second seasons. But fear not, dear readers! This August, it will fill again, when Showtime brings back Mary-Louise Parker and her crazy WEEDS family for their sixth season — along with a new show, THE BIG C, starring Laura Linney. These shows seem to have a few things in common, as you can see from the new crossover promo. Showtime has posted a teaser video for WEEDS, and a true trailer for THE BIG C, to give you a better idea of what these desperate housewives are all about.
